Midwest Saddle Company was born from an idea, plenty of hard work, and a little bit of luck. I always knew I wanted a career with horses. But as we all know, life doesn’t always go as planned. Instead, I found myself in an air-conditioned office staring at spreadsheets all day and dealing with the drama of office politics. A far cry from the equestrian dream I once had.

This wasn’t the life I wanted. I wasn’t happy. So I made a change.

It was a big risk leaving a comfortable job with a regular paycheck to start my own business and risk losing it all. What if I regretted it? What if I failed? What if I lost everything?

I took a deep breath, then I went down the road less traveled and I never looked back. Now I only wish I had done it sooner. There’s been plenty of ups and downs, learning curves, and moments were the doubt creeps back in. But every morning I wake up grateful.

I have found what makes me happy, and that’s meeting people like you who are searching for their first saddle or their twenty-fifth saddle. People who love their horses. The ones whose eyes light up when you ask them what they’re passionate about and their response is simply, “horses”. Those are my people.
