During the Great Depression, Texas Tanning & Manufacturing Co. began manufacturing finished leather products, in addition to Hereford Brand saddles and Texas Ranger belts. By the 1940’s, Texas Tanning & Manufacturing Co. changed its name to the present name of Tex Tan. This saddle is not only a piece of history, but a legacy of the Tex Tan brand!
If this saddle could tell stories, I’m sure it would have some wild tales to tell! This beautiful collector’s piece has served countless cowboys well and deserves a quiet retirement. While this saddle’s working years may be over, it will forever hold the rugged charm of the Old West.
