The Cutback pommel feature enables riders to lean low and far forward when climbing hills, while the generous thigh rolls offer support during downhill rides. The close contact and centered seat design provide a “leg-under” feel, even in the roughest terrain. Additionally, the 3-position stirrup hanger allows for versatility in leg position, making it an ideal choice for riders that want a centered feel. No Saddle Pad Needed:
This saddle features “Saddle Sox”, which replace traditional saddle pads. Slip Saddle Sox onto the panels like a pair of socks; ride them as long as you like, slip them off for washing.
Unlike saddle pads, Saddle Sox cannot become tight over the spine! Saddle Sox allow free airflow down the middle of the saddle & they do not wrinkle. They are designed very thin, since no padding is needed under the comfortable Flex system panels. Little maintenance or washing is needed.
Prevent Hip and Knee Pain:
This Evolutionary Saddle gives the rider a narrower seat which helps prevent hip and knee pain, while also providing a close feel to the horse. The bars of this saddle are thin allowing the rider’s thighs to get closer to the mule or horse.
The stirrup leathers are generally narrower than found on traditional saddles. They are mounted on the tree in such a way as to allow them to twist and move easily. Which prevents knee, hip and ankle strain.
Tree Composition:
The trees are thin and functional when made to specifications, being solid wood reinforced with layers of Kevlar coated with DRUAhideTM. This allows the trees to be made thin and much lighter in weight than traditional trees without compromising the strength needed even when used for activities such as heavy roping.
